Ingredients

Glaze Ingredients
  • 1 cup powdered sugar This ingredient brings sweetness and a smooth texture to your glaze.
  • 1-2 tablespoons lemon juice Juicy and aromatic, fresh lemon juice is what gives this glaze its vibrant, tangy flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by adding the powdered sugar to a medium mixing bowl. The sugar should feel soft and fluffy, ready to mix into a creamy glaze.
  2. Next, pour in 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. With a whisk, mix together the powdered sugar and lemon juice until they form a thick and well-combined mixture.
  3. If the glaze looks too thick, gently whisk in up to 1 additional tablespoon of lemon juice, starting with just a splash.
  4. Achieve a consistency that falls off the spoon slowly while holding its shape. If too thin, add more powdered sugar.
  5. Once the glaze has reached the perfect consistency, pour it over your semi-cooled baked goods.

Notes

To get the best results, use fresh lemon juice instead of bottled. Ensure baked goods are warm but not hot to prevent the glaze from melting away. If the glaze is too sweet, add more lemon juice for balance.
