Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for about 5 minutes.
- Trim both ends of the turnips and peel off their skin to ensure a smoother texture.
- Cut the turnips into 1/2-inch rounds, then slice each round into 1/4-inch thick fries.
Cooking
- Place the cut fries into a mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle salt, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Toss until evenly coated.
- Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
- Cook at 400°F for about 8 minutes. After 8 minutes, flip the fries, and continue to air fry for another 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
- Serve the Air Fryer Turnip Fries immediately as a snack or side dish.
Notes
Ensure your turnip slices are uniform for even cooking. Feel free to experiment with additional spices. If making a larger batch, consider cooking in batches.
