Preparation
- Place the sliced red bell peppers and chopped broccoli in a bowl. Toss them with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- After coating, add these veggies to the air fryer basket and set them aside.
Prep the Salmon
- Pat the salmon filets dry using a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- Rub 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the salmon, seasoning both sides with salt and pepper.
- Place the salmon filets on top of the vegetables in the air fryer basket.
Make the Sauce
- In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, corn starch, and red pepper flakes.
- Whisk until the corn starch is well incorporated. Heat over medium heat and simmer for about 3 to 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
Cook the Dish
- Pour half of the sauce over the salmon and vegetables in the basket.
- Set the air fryer to cook at 390°F for 13 to 15 minutes, stirring the vegetables halfway through.
Final Touches
- Carefully remove the dish from the air fryer and drizzle with the remaining sauce.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh chives, and serve immediately.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the salmon in the sauce for 30 minutes before cooking. You can substitute red pepper flakes with more for added heat or swap vegetables based on preference.
