Preparation
- Begin by gathering all your ingredients, ensuring they’re fresh and ready for blending.
Blending
- To a food processor or a blender, add all of the ingredients: white beans, parsley, chives, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. If using onion powder and rosemary, include those as well.
- Blend the mixture for 1-2 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed. For a chunkier dip, blend for just 30 seconds; for smooth consistency, continue blending until silky.
- If you’re opting for walnuts, add them now and pulse the mixture a few times to incorporate the nuts.
Serving
- Taste your dip and adjust flavors as desired. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
Serving Suggestions
- Serve the dip with pita chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or smoked paprika. To switch things up, experiment with other beans or add roasted garlic for a sweeter flavor.
